I often dislike these NY Times Articles, I enjoyed this one.
SARA HALL
Watching her drills video, makes me think, "man my legs are short" and "I'm not that flexible".
Other than that, I thought the drills looked good.
After reading this, I've found my excuse of the year. "I haven't found my distance yet".

Shawn will be happy to hear his distance may not be a 10K, I know I would be.
This goes back to the theory again. Take it easy 5 days a week, and pound hard two days. I hope it works out for me.
Of course the 4 easy days a week involve running 4 to 7 miles at a 7-minute/mile pace, rather than eating nachos and sitting at a desk, which is what I do the other 4 days a week.
I'm pretty sure my distance is no longer than 100 yards. I think the run up to the long jump was about the longest I ever wanted to run. The run up to the discus is really my speed. Yeah, there's no running in the discus. That's my point.
Doesn't matter. I am going to run.
Oh, and I checked out renting an Xterra wetsuit today (39 bucks a weekend) but they didn't have XXL in the rental list. Everything but. So I sent an e-mail asking them why I am being discriminated against. Already I have to pay extra at WalMart for my size of everything, and now Xterra won't even offer a double X suit on their rental page even though they obviously make them. I'm hoping it is merely an oversight, or it is simply not there because guys this fat don't rent suits. I guess I'll find out soon.
