It is also interesting to note that the Prince of Clydes lost 36 pounds last year too. Might be an inspiration. Heck, he is almost gonna kick himself out of the category. He said he weighed 242 about 14 months ago. Not far from me. I wonder if I could get down to 210. Hmm...seems unlikely, but it would allow me to run like never before. Eh, we'll see what I can do.
I did my only 1/2 ironman on a bike that was 31 pounds and who knows how old, ...could never go back. Heck, the 1/2 is brutal enough; let alone w/o a bike lighter than 30!

I loved the Prince of Clydes Signature line:
"Pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever!" - Shane Falco
Of course the quote comes from the movie replacments (I didn't know that, I just looked up Shane Falco).
Heck his old bike looks way nicer than my Schwinn, and he even dumpstered dived for it.
And he apparently did the Ironman Canada on it three times too, so there's no stopping us! My 20 year-old Trek is looking good.
