I was told to start at the top of your head and think down.

So bike goes:

Helmet, sunglasses, shirt, number pinned to shirt, gloves, socks, bike shoes, Bike, & waterbottle on the bike.

Of cousre when putting things on you have to think a little more out of the box, like shirt before helmet. It seems simple, but you will be in a hurry and you may be suffering.

Your list looks good. Maybe a second waterbottle for yourself when you finish the bike to take a sip of before you start the run. You probably will have something left in your bike bottle, but it wouldn't hurt.

Things like a tire pump & repair kit may be needed but don't really go on the transition list. Also remember the more things you have, the more you have to remember to do. I think you said you were going to take it easy in the transition to assure everything is OK.

Remember, we are doing this for fun. That is more for myself than possibly for you.

A note about the number on your shirt. Pin it on while wearing your shirt befor you race. My neigbor last year pinned it on with the shirt off of him right before the swim. When he went to put on his shirt, he couldn't get his head through because he pinned front to back. Just a little side note in case I would forget to tell you later.

Yeah, It's going to be fun for me no matter what. I don't have a previous finish time I'm trying to beat. Heck I should even sandbag a bit so I don't have to kill myself next year!

I just keep thinking to myself, last year at this time running a block would put me out of breath. The only way I'll be disappointed is if I don't finish for some reason.
