I have no idea where the trail up the face of Rim Rock is. Craig and I were saying the best way to go up would be the gradual slope which I plotted on this map. If there is a reasonably straight trail there. This looks to be about a half mile shorter than our route.

Of course being on a trail vs on the road plays a part as well.
