Word from the Lone Sprinter

I am pleased to say that my swim wave starts after all of the men (minus relays), but I will not be going last. Should make for a fun race...getting to pass all the slow guys! I know that the younger, faster women will make their way by me in the swim, but that will make for good incentive on the bike for me..."catch those fast girls"! On the run, I'm just aiming to come in on my goal pace of 8:45min miles. I really don't know if I have set an unattainable goal for myself here, but I figure I don't know what I can do until I try, right? Oh! The best part??? I will be wearing a PURPLE swim cap! Whew!

Yay for staying away from teh pink cap! And going first female group! You won't get passed much if at all on the swim and will have lots of fun on that bike. 8:45 is very attainable!

Purple...may favorite color. Wish I could swim with you (for the hat--that is). Good luck. You'll do great.

How are the hips treating after your Saturday training day?

Are you sure you want to swim?

Hopefully the bacteria thing improves...

Hips are feeling as good/average as usual...nothing out of the ordinary to note. Although, I haven't run since last week. I'm going to try to get a short run in tonight depending on my heat tolerance.

Just read the report about the bacteria...guess you'd better not drink any of the water on the swim. YUM!

Glad to see that you are giving your hips a break! Best of luck with the run tonight. It's HOT here so I imagine you are boiling as well.

No measly e-coli is taking me down! I have eaten tons of those little buggers in my life, not to mention salmonella, botulism and your assorted rotten meats.

It's going to take something worse than that to stop this clyde.
