Long run- Marathon Training

This may be the hardest training run I've done: 1200 ft of ascent in a 16 mile run with an equal amount of descent.

1) Wow. That is an impressive run. Last I checked Delaware is flat. Ha ha. If you keep that loop as part of your training, Delaware should be a breeze and NH marathon will be no problem in the fall.
I need to find a tough loop like that to start running in July.

2) Ummm, when did North Warren become "Venturetown"?

3) You ran right by where they caught "Bucky" Right? (Am I saying the right name?) There should be one of those "it happened here" historical markers for that, don't you think?

1. You are right,....Delaware will not even come close to the hills. However, other races like the Tango do have some hills in them.

2. A lot of the old-timers in North Warren call it Venturetown. I'm not sure why but I've heard it many since since moving to North Warren.

3. Bucky,.... yep. He was caught somewhere right off of #13 at Cable Hollow golf course I believe. He did spend some time up in that area at the very end. Goo drecall, I thought maybe there would be a "Bucky was caught here" sign. then I could stop and get my picture taken by sign. Of course I'd be holding a can-opener too.
